After graduating in '99, I attended the Univ of Kansas on a full athletic scholarship to play football.  I lettered 4yrs with the jayhawks as a running back and then safety.

One day, in the spring of 2001, I met a couple of guys outside my dorm that explained to me the good news about Jesus' death, burial and resurrection.  Since that day my life hasn't been the same.  Before then all I thought about was my football career and now all I think about is helping people know the God who created them, who loves them and who hasn't forgotten them.

I graduated from KU in Dec of 2003.  A couple of weeks later played my last college football game in Orlando in front of my family (the first time they saw me play in person while in college).  On Jan 1, 2004 I drove out to Los Angeles, CA where I would live for 6 mos attending Fuller Theological Seminary (School of World Missions) and did an internship with a ministry to athletes at the Univ of Southern Cal.

After my 6 mo's was up I returned to Lawrence to continue in ministry at KU.  Two years later (Oct 06), I married the woman of my dreams, my wife Lauri.  We are both passionate about sharing God's love to the next generation.

On top of our responsibilities with the student ministry we work with, we decided to obey the Lord (which is a good idea), to be fruitful and multiply.  We are expecting our first any day.  We don't know if we are having a boy or girl, it's kinda of fun choosing to be surprised.  Also, my 6 yr old nephew just moved with us indefinitely.  His name his Delvin.
